The polka dot paper is from My Mind's Eye. The stripe is from one of DCWV's Summer Stack. The cuts are from Accent Essential and Plantin Schoolbook (I know--old school considering how many cartridges I could have used! LOL).

Be sure to notice the guys in the first seats of the first two rows and the sign they should have read...

The paper is from The Paper Studio's A Boy's Universe Stack. The popped gears are hand cut from the paper, but the arrows are from Accent Essential. The title is from Graphically Speaking.

April Cards

February Stampin Up

The single fower card was made using Stampin Up's Build a Blossom and Build a Blossom punch. It is stamped in Concord Crush. The embossing folder is Stampin Up's Final Press.

The Bliss card was made using Concord Crush and Crumb Cake and the Bliss set availible in the Sale-a-bration catalog. The embossing folder is called Framed Tulips.

The cupcake card used the cupcake punch and an embossing folder from Cricut. I don't remember the exact colors used--sorry!

Welcome to Texas

In 2009, our family drove 16 hours to spend Thanksgiving with my husband's family. 16 hours in a car with a teen... 16 hours of some of the most boring landscape in the world... Often 4 or more hours between towns (and horrible restrooms I might add). Still, this was our son's first long road trip and his first trip to Texas, which meant state-line photos! LOL He had fun pretending to hold the sign and lean against it.

This is a really simple layout. The one patterned paper is from a cheapy kit I got several years ago--you know the kind with 150ish papers that sounds like a good idea, but then, they never go with any of your photos. To date, this is only the second paper I've used from it... Note too that I totally had to ignore the colors of the shirt and sign or risk a layout that looked like a circus visit. The only Cricut cut is from Graphically Speaking. Journaling font is Garmond, my go-to font. The layout is from a Pagemaps sketch in Oct 2009.

I am on a roll today!

This is from the same Halloween as the previous posting, but this is my son and his friends--sort of our adopted family. 3 of these kiddos are not likely to dress up and trick-or-treat next year. So, I relished this Halloween and the next.

The papers are from Imaginise in a collection called Hallowhimsy. The cuts are from Cricut's Oct 31 and Caligraphy cartridges. The tree was cut at 9 inches but narrowed using design studio. The moon is 2 1/2 inches, and the title is 1 3/4 inches.
